Traffic arrangements on Republic Day

The City traffic police have made elaborate arrangements to ensure uninterrupted movement of traffic on Monday

Following are the arrangements in and around Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Gro­unds, where Governor Vajubhai Vala will receive the salute:

* All invitees with Yellow Car Passes should enter Gate 1 via Cubbon Road, facing the northern side of the Brigade Parade Ground and park their vehicles on the western side of ground.

* All invitees with White Car Passes and secretaries to the government, military officers, police officers, should use Gate 2 - Cubbon Road and park their vehicles on the north-eastern side of the parking lot inside the parade ground.

* Media representatives and outdoor broadcasting vehicles should enter the parade ground through Gate 3 and park on the eastern side.

* All invitees with Pink Passes should enter through Gate 3 and park vehicles on the north-eastern side.

* All Green Car Pass holders should park their vehicles in the parking lot on Kamaraja Road and Main Guard Cross Road and enter the parade ground through Gate 4 and Gate 5, by walk.

* Vehicles carrying participants in the parade and cultural events should drop them near Gate 1 and park vehicles near the northern side of M G Road, from Anil Kumble Circle to the Metro Station.

* All government vehicles shall enter the parade ground from Gate 1 on Cubbon Road and park their vehicles behind the Fort Wall (Southern Side).

* Two-wheelers riders should park their vehicles on the eas­te­rn side of Kamaraja Road and enter through Gate 4 and 5 via Kamaraja Road, by walk.

* Those who do not have car passes can park their vehicles on Kamaraja Road and enter the ground through Gate 4 and 5 on Kamaraja Road, by walk.

* The general public coming to see the programme can park their vehicles near Safina Plaza, BMTC Shopping Complex, 1st Floor at Shivajinagar, Chota Maidan (Shivajinagar Corporation Ground) and at Kanteerava Stadium and enter the parade ground through Gate 4 and 5 on Kamaraja Road, by walk.

* Provision has been made to park BMTC buses carrying participants on MG Road from Anil Kumble Circle to Metro Station.

* Traffic will be diverted from 8:30 am to 10: 30 am from BRV Junction to Kamaraj Road Junction (both directions) on Cubbon Road.

* Vehicles coming from Med­in­ova towards Manipal Centre should move on the following route: Infantry Road – Safina Plaza - left turn - main Guard Road - Allies Circle - Dispensary Road - Kamaraja Road and Dickenson Road Junction - right turn - KR Road - KR Road Junction-left turn-and Cubbon Road onwards to Manipal Centre Junction.

* Vehicle coming from Manipal Junction towards BRV Junction on Cubbon Road should take a left turn at KR Road Junction towards Cauvery Art and Crafts Circle Junction. They should take a right turn and move on MG Road and Anil Kumble Circle and take a right turn. Vehicles should move on BRV Junction and proceed towards Central Street.

* The vehicle coming from Anil Kumble Circle towards Cubbon Road should go straight on Central Street Junction and take the following route: Infantry Road - Safina Plaza - left turn - Main Guard Road - Allies Circle - Dispensary Road - Kamaraja Road and Dickenson Road Junction - right turn - KR Road Junction - left turn - and Cubbon Road onwards to Manipal Centre junction.

* Vehicles coming from Cauvery Arts and Craft Circle on MG Road and going towards Cubbon Road and KR Road Junction should go straight on MG Road towards Anil Kumble junction. They should take a right turn and move on BRV Junction and Central Street.
