Hearing a petition by the late Professor K Ramdas, the division bench headed by Justice V Gopalagowda has directed to pay the differential amount within two months.
The land was sold to the Peetha at a cost of Rs 2.03 lakh, which the petitioners contended, was erroneous and unsustainable.
The bench has directed to provide free medical care and treatment. “If free treatment is not rendered to the needy and the poor, the State shall take necessary action and cancel the grant,” the bench observed.
