While appealing for a clear majority in these Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said if the city gets a Chief Minister belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party, then he will work due to the fear of Modi.

“CM ko darr hoga ke Modi betha hai isiliye usko sahi kaam karna padega kyunki usko pata hai ke Modi galat hota nahi dekh sakta. (The CM will have the fear of Modi. He will be bound to do the right thing because he knows that Modi cannot see anything wrong happening),” said Modi at a rally in Dwarka on Sunday.

At the same breath the Prime Minister attacked the Aam Aadmi Party without taking its name, and said, “Unke upar kaun hai? (Who is there to manage them?)”
The PM said that such parties will only sit on dharnas.

“If they will sit on dharna the what can I do being as the PM?” he asked the gathering.
“If you are going to chose them you will get a dharna sarkar which will only sit on dharnas. So you should choose a responsible government that believes in good governance,” said Modi.

The PM said that when the BJP came to power in Centre there has been a dip in prices of diesel and petrol.

“Our opponents say that Modi is fortunate that without any effort he is getting a viable atmosphere. If Modi is fortunate then what is wrong in that? Why should people vote for unfortunate party and politicians then?” he said.

“Incomplete mandate has already caused a delay of a year in Delhi’s development and it has taken the city 25 years back,” Modi added.

BJP CM candidate
BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi gave the opening speech at the rally around 3 pm.
“We will make Delhi sakshar (literate), saksham (able) and swachh (clean). We will do skill development,” said Bedi.

“No government building will be kept vacant or unused. We will utilise buildings for educational purposes. We'll start polytechnic colleges in them to impart technical education,” she added.
The CM candidate said the party will also focus on sports.

“Our Prime Minister has envisaged that sports should be encouraged and sports complexes should be utilised properly. Children should be motivated to take up sports in schools,” she said.

Bedi said the party would want students to join them in literacy campaign during school vacations.

“We would engage them in social work. We would also give extra marks to those who will carry out social work related activities,” she added.
