<p>Deeply disturbed by the untimely death of their newly married daughter, a couple from Pandavapura town want to seek permission for euthanasia from the President of India.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Addressing the media here on Friday, Swamy Gowda K N from Mahatma Gandhi Nagar in Pandavapura, Mandya district, urged the police to bring the culprits responsible for his daughter’s death to book. <br /><br />Gowda said that his daughter K S Lavanya was hacked to death for dowry by her husband Anand Kumar, her in-laws Savithramma and Neelegowda and her sister-in-law Geetha, last November. At the time of the wedding, Kumar was given 150 grams of gold and Rs eight lakh for wedding expenses, he said.<br /><br />“But the police cooked up a story and said that she died due to epilepsy in the autopsy report,” said Gowda. He said that there was no history of epilepsy in his family. <br /><br />He said that he would seek the President’s permission for euthanasia – for him and his family, including his wife Shylaja, their 17-year-old daughter and his aged mother, if the police did not arrest the people responsible for the death of his daughter.</p>
