Ending weeks of speculation, both the exchanges said that they will remain open for trading on the Budget Day of February 28.
“Trading members are hereby informed that markets shall remain open for regular trading hours on the day of presentation of the Union Budget for the year 2015-16 i.e. on February 28, 2015,” BSE said. “The pre-open session shall be held from 9 am to 9.08 am while the normal/odd lot/retail debt market will function from 9.15 am to 15.30 pm. The block deal session will be held from 9.15 am to 9.50 am while the closing session will be held from 3.40 pm to 4 pm.,” NSE said.
