<p> <br />“Basically I think things are really changing (in Tibet)... I am quite optimistic about the present situation there,” the Dalai Lama told media persons here at the sidelines of an interactive session organised by a chamber of commerce.<br /><br />Stressing the need for transparency with regard to outflow of information about Tibet to the external world, the exiled leader said: “I have a strong feeling that transparency is very much crucial and essential. Besides, the Chinese people also have the right to know the reality.”<br /><br />The Chinese intellectuals too, he claimed, were gradually becoming more supportive of the cause of Tibet.</p>
