I am a director's actor, says Shahid Kapoor

Shahid teams up with Ken Ghosh for a third time in their upcoming film 'Chance Pe Dance' and the actor says that he did not do any homework for his role except getting the famed eight pack abs that will be on display during the film.

"All the homework I did for the film was centered around my stomach, my eight pack abs. I did no other homework because I am a director's actor," the actor told reporters here today.

Shahid and Ghosh both debuted in Bollywood with the 2003 film 'Ishq Vishq' and the actor is happy to be back with the director who gave him his first big break.
"Ghosh created my career with 'Ishq Vishq', I hope he does not destroy it with Chance Pe Dance. This is the third time that we are working together and we have come a long way, both of us," said the actor.

Shahid who began his career as a back-up dancer plays a struggling actor in the film where he is paired opposite Genelia D'Souza.

The actor plays a boy from Delhi, who aspires to become an actor and ends up in Mumbai where he faces the grim reality of a struggler's life.

"The best part about the film is the fact that my character is somebody everyone can relate to. He is from Delhi, father owns a saree shop, but he dreams of becoming a Bollywood hero," said the actor.
