Church Street Social’ is unveiling a new, inventive, quirky and fun food festival called ‘#StreetFoodFestival’ – one which was born on the streets and styled into an unusually delicious avatar.

With all the best and tastiest flavours of India’s streets blended together and presented with a generous helping of a new avatar of something unexpected, this food festival promises to be a delight for the tastebuds.

There are mains like burritos with mutton biryani instead of Mexican rice and the ‘beef Wellington’, a British classic which is Indian-ised with a filling of sheekh kebab. Also, combining international flavours, there is the ‘Rosemary Nihari’, a mix of rosemary and lamb or some moilee seafood laksa.

You can dig into ‘chaats’ like ‘Hash Brown Tikki chaat’, ‘Satay Chicken Sev Puri’ or even a ‘DIY Gol Gappa Thali’. You could also relish on ‘Tawa Chicken’ or ‘Bhuna Ghost Khimri Bread’.

No menu is complete without the desserts. There is the ‘Izzat Ka Faluda with Gulab Jamun Cheesecake’ and ‘Tiramisu Softie’ to end the meal. “We want to push the boundaries, with both food and food for thought — we are constantly inventing new sides to our tables. Also we really wanted to do something special for our guests and hence launched the ‘#StreetFoodFestival’,” says Riyaaz Amlani, founder of ‘Church Street Social’.

“The festival menu is a worldly take on our staple local foods. If you’ve loved these flavours in their original avatar, you’ll be delighted with them in this new menu. We’ve hunted for ingredients and inspirations that span all the unique cultures of our country, to arrive at a menu we believe is original, comforting and different.

For example the ‘Croissant Paratha’. There’s absolutely nothing like it on the planet – ‘Social’ is the only place where you will find it,” says Executive Chef Gaurav Gidwani.

‘Church Street Social is located at No-46/1, Cobalt Building, Church Street. For details, call 41622755.
