JOIN USDistrict Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Venkatesh said that four members of the family of Veena of Nandigondanahalli, in Belur taluk, who recently died due to H1N1 fever, have also been diagnosed to be suffering from the fever.
Addressing a media conference, here, on Saturday, he however said that, they were responding well to the treatment.
“Among seven members, who had H1N1 fever, Veena and Yashoda succumbed. But, they died as they could not get the treatment at the early stage. There is no scarcity of the required medicines. Veena had contracted the fever from a neighbouring district. As soon as it was detected, she was being treated along with all her family members,” he said.
One person in Holenarsipur taluk and another is Hassan district are infected with the fever. But, they were all recovering at the hospital,” he added.
