The awards will be given in three fields, i.e., Tulu literature/research, Tulu drama and cinema, and Tulu folklore/Yakshagana.
The applications sent in the previous years will be considered in the present year too. Such people need not apply again.
If they have any additional information to add, they can submit them separately, stated a release.
Applications have also been invited for book awards.
The books should be published in 2009.
They can be translations from other languages to Tulu or from Tulu to other languages, Tulu poetry compilation, story compilation, novel, drama and research work. Four copies of a book should be sent along with the application.
The applications for both the awards should be sent to President/Registrar, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, MCC building, Lalbagh, Mangalore-575003, the press release informed.
