The Banaswadi traffic police slapped a notice on an African youth for violating traffic norms.
According to the police, he was riding a bike at high speed without wearing a helmet, at around 7.30 pm on CMR Road.
When the police directed him to stop the bike, he rode the two-wheeler on the footpath and tried to escape. However, a few local residents stopped him and handed him over to the police.
Notice served
The police said he did not produce the driving licence when demanded. They have served a notice to him and directed to pay a fine.
