JOIN USSanjay, a seven-year-old boy who was seriously injured after falling into a vessel filled with hot sambar, breathed his last on Monday evening.
The accident had occurred on Sunday while Sanjay was playing in a kitchen during a marriage ceremony at Periyapatna in the district. Sanjay, who is the son of Krishnegowda and Susheela, residents of Yaladahalli in K R Nagar taluk, was being treated at a private hospital in the city, following the accident.
Sanjay had suffered 70 per cent burns in the accident. Even though the boy had responded to treatment on Sunday, a sudden dip in his blood pressure resulted in kidney failure.
On Monday, the burn injuries on his body showed signs of decay and the condition of the boy deteriorated, resulting in his death.
