Drinking water problem has become acute in Kowthamaranahalli, Hosapalya and surrounding villages in Haralur gram panchayat jurisdiction.
The villagers charged that the Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) is not taking any steps to solve the problem despite being told by the MLA.
They also accused him of stopping gram panchayat members and leaders from supplying water through tankers.
The PDO is neglecting the pipeline laying work at Kowthamaranahalli to supply Hemavathi river water from Dinnepalya.
The MLA himself is supervising this work and the PDO is lease bothered as he is not
receiving any villagers’ calls too, they claimed.
