Actress Nidhi Subbaiah is not the only one on a high after signing Yograj Bhat’s new film. Sonu from Police Quarters also got a call from Yograj to audition for an important role in the film. “Nothing has been put down on paper yet. I liked the role he offered me and he too felt that I suit the film,” says Sonu, who made her debut in Inti Ninna Preetiya, which was directed by Suri, a close associate of Bhat.

The yet-to-be-titled movie will star Diganth and Nidhi as the lead pair and will see Sonu as the second heroine, a bubbly 19-year-old girl who is Nidhi’s friend. “All I know is that my character has nothing to do with Diganth’s character. So it has no love angle to it,” she says.

Though Police Quarters didn’t have much success at the box office, Sonu sure did get many appreciative reviews.

“All my friends liked my role in the film and even in  the industry people have told me that I have done a good job. I am really happy with the response I’ve got for the movie,” she says while adding, “one of the best compliments I received was that I can don both, glamourous as well as simple look.”

As for the future too, Sonu is very particular about the kind of roles and movies she signs.

“I hope all my future roles are also as interesting as what Yograj Bhat has offered me,” she signs off.
