The press conference for the actor’s upcoming film “Veer” at Prasad’s IMAX theatre went smoothly but commotion ensued as soon as the crowds outside came to know about Khan’s presence.

Being Saturday, a large number of people were present at the theatre and after seeing the OB (Outside Broadcast) vans of different news channels parked outside, they came to know that Salman was in town.

The crowd waited outside the venue of the press conference on the second floor of the theatre and tried to rush towards the actors when Salman Khan came out and waved to his fans. Screaming fans jostled to have a glimpse of the actors and went out of control. When they tried to reach the second floor through the escalators, it got stuck due to the heavy crowd.

“Glass panes alongside the escalators broke even as people fell on each other, though no one was hurt and nothing untoward happened,” an official at the IMAX theatre said.
A police official supervising at the venue said that no one was injured and it was just commotion caused by crowds pulling and pushing each other.

“The theatre was packed with fans and many of them rushed towards the stars through the escalators and some of them fell,” he said.

Meanwhile, actors Salman Khan and Zarine Khan, who marks her debut with “Veer” were moved away from the theatre through another entrance.
