Karnataka boys drub Uttarakhand in opener

Shooting guard Arvind A top-scored for Karnataka with 23 points and power forward Mohammed Adil made the most of his size to chalk up 18 points. Uttarakhand rode on Amal Rai (12) and Raavi Rajan (11) to remain in contention but Karnataka pushed ahead to seal an emphatic win in Group ‘F’.

In Group B, Delhi scored a facile 74-38 win over Punjab. Somvir (23) and Virendra were the top scorers for Delhi while Amrit Pal (11) and Vikram Joy (6) scored for Punjab.
Tamil Nadu, also in Group B, warded off a stiff challenge from Rajasthan before clinching the match 87-69.

KS Prasanna scored a match-high 29 points and Berdinent chipped in with 21 points.
Karnataka girls were awarded a walkover in Group C after opponents Jammu and Kashmir failed to turn up.

On Sunday, Karnataka girls scored a comfortable 76-39 win against Jharkhand. Victoria B (22) and Sandhya M (13) scored for Karnataka while Anis Tirkey (16) and Jacklin (10) contributed to Jharkand’s score.

Group C: Maharashtra: 58 (Ganesh Shinde 12, Mohsin Shaikh 9) bt Jammu and Kashmir: 25 (Karan Kumar 8).

Group F: Karnataka: 75 (Arvind A 23, Mohammed Adil 18) bt Uttarakhand: 36 (Amal Rai 12, Ravi Rajan 11); Chandigarh: 81 (Amjot 31, Ravi 19) bt West Bengal: 59 (Amrit Singh 16, Manoj Kumar 13).

Girls: Group C: Karnataka w/o Jammu and Kashmir.
Group B: Kerala: 101 (Meenumol PS 20, Anusha A 20) bt Punjab: 47 (Gauri 18, Jagdeep Kaur 10).

Group D: Andhra Pradesh: 57 (Geesala S 17, Ande Surya 15) bt Rajasthan: 50 (Kamlesh 16, Shilpy 13).
