<p>The Transport department on Tuesday, seized 200 vehicles including 25 private buses for various permit violations in an enforcement drive conducted in the City.</p>.<p><br />According to the officials, the seized vehicles include 25 private buses, 50 maxi cabs and 30 other-state cars, while the rest were goods vehicles which were transporting goods more than the permissible limit. <br /><br />The department collected Rs 60 lakh by way of tax and penalty. Due to the raid, operations of private buses came to a halt from Doddaballapur/Devanahalli to the City causing inconvenience to passengers. The BMTC and KSTRC buses were pressed into service as an alternative arrangement.</p>
