Security guard killed as bike hits him

A pedestrian was killed while two others suffered injuries in a road accident in Rajajinagar traffic police limits on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Mallikarjuna, 65, a resident of Prakash Nagar. The two injured, Anand (22) and Sandeep (23), are being treated at a private hospital

The police said that the accident occurred at 5.45 am on Dr Rajkumar Road when Mallikarjuna, a security guard with a private firm, was crossing the road, Anand lost control of his bike and rammed the pedestrian.

Mallikarjun, who suffered serious injures in the incident, was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead, added the police.

The jurisdictional police have registered a case and investigations are on.
