Multiple surgeries
Seetharam, a native of Bihar, had suffered serious injuries on the lower part of his face, after his mobile phone exploded at his make-shift tent at Kadabahalli, Bindiganavile police limits in Nagamangala taluk, on February 3.

Following the incident, he was rushed to Adhichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagamangala, before being shifted to JSS Hospital in Mysuru for further treatment. He underwent two to three corrective plastic surgeries at the hospital, where his damaged nose, upper and lower lips and jaws were reconstructed with the poor patient fund set up at the hospital and from donations from philanthropists. The hospital, however, discharged the victim on Saturday.

The victim, a construction worker, was working along with his father on a toll gate. According to one version, Seetharam had sustained injuries while charging the cellphone and simultaneously listening to a song on it.

Another version said Seetharam was repairing the mobile charger holding a part of the damaged part in his mouth and he was injured in the electrical mishap.
