When a person begins his/her first job, priorities and lifestyle habits change, rather drastically. Focus on health reduces due to professional stress. Many people face major health issues at an early age these days. There are some things you can avoid at an early stage for a healthier life.

Mistake: Sitting continuously in front of the computer. Sitting at a desk and working for hours at a stretch increases your risk for cardiovascular diseases, regardless of your physical activity levels.

Tip: Divide your tasks for the day where you can move around alternate hours and avoid sitting in front of the computer at a stretch. Standing up every 20 minutes, stretching sideways while sitting on chairs are two ways to ensure you avoid straining yourself.

Mistake: Not taking short breaks. It  can cause headache, back pain or stress.

Tip: Relaxation gaps during work can help you tremendously. Taking a long breath can help improve your thinking process. Meditation also acts as a doorway to reduce your stress, anxiety and anger levels.

Mistake: Spending the whole day at your work place. This can make you feel bored, lazy and unenthusiastic.

Tip: Move out instead of being indoors always. Exploring the world around you whether that’s travelling, hiking, or playing outdoor games, provides a wide range of mental and physical benefits.

Mistake: Eating more of fast food. It can increase bad cholesterol, obesity and up the risks of heart diseases.

Tip: Eat healthy and exercise regularly. Try to eat more fruits, vegetables and milk products.

Mistake: Indulging in drugs, alcohol and smoking. They won’t alleviate stress, but can cause additional health troubles.

Tip: Avoid drugs, excessive drinking and smoking. You can have health drinks, chewing gums and nuts instead.
