CID files interim charge sheet against Pari Rajan

The Criminal Investigation Department on Monday submitted an interim charge sheet against Pari Rajan, the kingpin of the single-digit lottery scam.

The charge sheet was submitted in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bangarpet. Hemanth Nimbalkar, IGP, Criminal Investigation Department , said that since the investigation was in progress, it was not possible to disclose the contents of interim charge sheet. He said that supplementary charge sheet would be filed after the completion of the investigation.

“The State government has entrusted the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). But, the CBI has not contacted us till date and we have not handed over any papers concerning the case to the investigating agency. Hence, we are continuing with the investigation,” Nimbalkar said.
