One dies after spraying pesticide

Harsha fell ill after spraying the pesticide to contain the pests in the field beans crop, apparently after inhaling the pesticide. His family members who accidentally arrived at the field saw his condition and admitted him at the Hunsur hospital. However, the treatment proved futile and he  succumbed at the hospital.

Farmers are using several pesticides to protect their crops from the onslaught of various diseases. Even though, there is no information available about Lannate pesticide the farmers are using it in large quantity.

A report about the ill-effects of Lannate pesticide on the health of farmers appeared in Prajavani on December 18. A case has been registered at the Hunsur rural police
station.
