Republican Party activists meet

Speaking after inaugurating its first convention of the members organised by the party district unit here on Saturday, the party State president M Venkataswamy said that the party will give voice to the issues of dalits, minorities and backward classes.  He criticised the major political parties - the ruling BJP, the Congress and the JD(S) for ‘following divide and rule policy,’ to garner the support of the backward and minority communities.

He held the Opposition parties - Congress and JD(S) responsible for a communal party coming to power in the State. He appealed to the public in the rural areas to support the party.

Republican Party State unit convenor Hebbal Venkatesh, Kolar district unit president R Sriramanna, Samata Sainik Dal district unit president Satyanarayan, Secretary Narasimhamurthy, City unit president P Munivenkataswamy, Valmiki Nayakara Sangha district unit general secretary K V Gavirayappa, B H Narasimhaiah and Rajappa of Raita Sanga were present on the occasion.
