There has been some amount of curiosity on who the director of Shivarajkumar’s 100th movie would be. As to whether it would be Puneeth or Prem. Now, Shivanna has put all doubts to rest by accepting Prem’s offer of Jogaiah, a sequel to his blockbuster movie Jogi.

To announce this milestone project, Prem had organised a press conference at a City hotel recently.
Shivarajkumar said he decided to choose Jogaiah as his 100th movie as he felt that Prem will do justice to the movie.

“I have been in the film industry for more than two decades and I am glad that people are continuing to accept me. Every actor sees the dream of crossing the magical three digits in his career and for me, it has materialised with Jogaiah. I have got a very apt title and Prem is sure to  make it another hit,” Shivaraj said.
Though Prem has announced the project, he has not yet finalised the cast, location, heroine and the script. The movie will go on the floors on April 24, which also happens to be the birthday of late Rajkumar.

Only Prem knows the logic behind announcing the project so early. “It is true that the concept has not yet taken a final shape. But people are curious to know about Shivanna’s ground-breaking project. I am honoured to direct Shivanna in this movie. As the movie has a special significance, it had to be announced in a big manner. Hence, I arranged this grand get-together,” said Prem.
Apart from Shivarajkumar and Prem, the movie is also crucial for actress Rakshita, who is now turning producer with this movie.

The new production house Prem Pictures, launched by the couple, is producing Jogaiah. “I did not expect to produce his 100th movie, which is going to be directed by my husband. My production house is so lucky to come up with such a big project. I was so embarrassed when I handed over a check to Geetha Shivarajkumar as the producer,” says Rakshita.

The event saw many top guests from the industry including Ambarish-Sumalata, Jai Jagadish-Vijayalaksmi, Ganesh-Shilpa, S Narayan, Rockline Venkatesh, K Manju, Sa Ra Govind, Jaggesh, Puneeth Rajkumar, Sri Nagar Kitti, Yash, Pooja Gandhi, Aindrita Ray, Radhika Pandit and Sharmila Mandre.
Chief Minister Yeddyurappa unveiled the poster of Jogaiah and wished all success to Prem, Shivarajkumar and Rakshita.
An impressive laser performance was organised on the occasion which took the audience on a journey through the film career of Shivarajkumar.
