To crown the achievement, Ramu has gathered a set of technicians from neighbouring Telugu industry, including director Shiv Akula. The others are composer Chakri and cinematographer Mujeer.

Akula, who had earlier directed Lakshmi, Tulasi and Krishna was persuaded by Ramu to direct one of his stories in Kannada. That story was meant to be made in Telugu! Akula though, is not bothered as he is happy working with a big production house and promised to complete the film in 60 days. To this end, around 30 actors including Devaraj, Kashi and Rangayana Raghu have been roped in.

A “commercial film with love subject”, Gandede will also feature spectacular action scenes, a staple diet of Ramu films.

To this end, action director Different Danny has choreographed five action sequences. Chiranjeevi was delighted to have realised his dream of working in a Ramu production. “As a young boy, I visited the sets of Jodi and Bhava, Bhavamaida directed by my uncle Kishore Sarja and wanted to act in Ramu’s films. Today, that dream has come true!” Chiranjeevi then proceeded to reveal the one-line story and said it is a film for the youth.

For heroine Ragini, the role is different from the usual glamourous ones. Aruna Balraj plays Sarja’s mother.
