'Kejriwal govt is anti-women'

The Aam Aadmi Party government is anti-women as it has been treating women’s issues lightly, said the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday.

DPCC spokesperson Sharmistha Mukherjee cited the controversy over an AAP volunteer’s complaint against party leader Kumar Vishwas, and urged a thorough probe into it.

She said the AAP government made parents of murder victim Meenakshi wait outside the Delhi Assembly for two hours when a special session discussed her case. Even the Rs 5 lakh compensation announced for her family has not yet been given, she added.

The remarks made by AAP leader Somnath Bharti during the special Assembly session about women were “insulting and derogatory”, she said.
