FIR lodged against Alka Lamba

The Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Chandni Chowk, Alka Lamba, found herself in the middle of a controversy on Monday when a CCTV footage showed her vandalising a sweet shop in the presence of policemen in north Delhi’s Kashmere Gate.

On Sunday, Lamba had claimed that a man in the shop hurled a stone at her. Delhi Police have now filed an FIR against Lamba on the basis of a complaint by the shop’s owner. Lamba might be called for questioning in this regard.

The CCTV footage shows Lamba walking with a group of people towards the counter of the sweet shop, throwing the cash machine over the counter and charging the manager.
