“Mumbai belongs to Marathi Manoos...the first claim on Mumbai is only and only of Marathi Manoos.... It is the capital of Maharashtra and will remain so forever,” Thackeray wrote in his party mouthpiece “Saamna”.

“Marathi people have as much right over Mumbai as Mukesh Ambani has over Reliance companies,” Thackeray said, adding that the “only difference is he (Mukesh) has business rights while for Marathi Manoos, Mumbai symbolises their pride.”
“A hundred and five martyrs sacrificed their lives to get Mumbai as the capital of Maharashtra... their memorial now stands at Hutatma (martyr) Chowk (at Fort in South Mumbai),” Thackeray said.

“Mumbai is Maharashtra’s capital and will remain its capital. Don’t meddle with Mumbai and Marathi manoos ,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Sena also attacked Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan for lamenting exclusion of Pakistani players from the IPL Twenty20 matches and dared him to take the players in his team.

“If Shah Rukh wants Pakistani players to play here, he should go to Karachi and Islamabad to play with them...If he includes Pakistani players in his team, he should be aware of the consequences,” Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut told reporters.
The Sena did not stop at warning Shah Rukh. A group of Sena activists tore posters of the actor’s upcoming movie “My Name Is Khan” .
