Fashion connoisseurs from across the city were seen busy shopping at the second edition of Azzurra, The Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition that brought together 40 designers under a roof. Held at Vasant Continental Hotel, the exhibition showcased the creations of some established names in the fashion and design industry and also gave an opportunity to the budding designers and entrepreneurs to be a part of it.
A brainchild of entrepreneur duo Sakshi Arora and Shikha Sawhney, Azzurra was launched in March 2015 and has since grown in popularity.
Commenting on the iniatiative, Arora tells Metrolife, “We attempt to spearhead initiatives which can encourage creativity and business opportunity. Fashion industry has witnessed a significant growth in the last decade. We try and provide a transparent and sophisticated market for the fashion lover by employing our knowledge-based approach to create something new.” Adds Sawhney, “This is an opportunity for rising designers in our community to showcase their talent and creativity in a truly unique way.”
Some of the participating exhibitors of Season two were - Amethysta Viola; Amaara by Ginni Khatter; Ankyra by Priyanka Kakkar; Rouche Couture; Mustard by Dolly and Sonia; Me Glamor; Indian Fashionara by Anjali Mittra; Sid N Vani; Neha Sharma at Makeup India Shivalik; Pinaki Fashion Allures; Wild Orchid; Namrata Jaini with Insight Pearl in attendance.
The event also saw the launch of a website, womenzo.com. It is a one-stop shop for all your fashion and lifestyle needs with an aim to provide a hassle-free and enjoyable shopping experience to shoppers across the country with a big range of brands and products.
