The 24th edition of the ‘Glorious Festival of Harmony’ concluded with a bang over the
weekend. The ‘Festival of Harmony’ encourages young talent and gives them a chance to share the stage with other groups who are like-minded. One of the most popular choral festivals of the City, the ‘Glorious Festival of Harmony’ saw an array of groups participate and savour the beauty of music.

Seven school choirs from Bethany High, Bishop Cotton Girls’ School, Clarence, Frank Anthony Public School, Mallya Aditi International School and St John’s School; six college choirs from Christ Junior College, Christ University, Mount Carmel College, St Joseph’s College of Commerce, St Joseph’s College of Arts and Science and Kristhu Jayanthi College; five church choirs from East Parade Malayalam, East Parade Malayalam Children’s Choir, Bangalore Mizo, Wesley English and CMFI and the host choirs — Glorious, Glorious Children’s Choir and Glorious Senior Choir, sang a variety of melodies which enthralled the audience.

This festival saw it all; be it from classical music, fun Acappellas or even high-brow rap, folk and reggae songs. The Glorious choir enchanted the audience with their popular songs. Towards the end, Michelle, one of the star singers of the choir sang ‘Through It All’. She recalled that the entire experience was a truly magical one for her as she saw different people from various backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities come under one roof with their love for music. “There couldn’t have been a more better and pleasant way in which I could have spent my evening,” she added.
