<p>Tata Trusts has signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop 264 villages in Vijayawada parliamentary constituency with the aid of data collected from 2,50,000 households covering 1 million people.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Web-based techniques were used to collect data with the help of a 128 point questionnaire. Funds will be gathered from different government schemes as well as by Tata Trusts.<br /><br />“We will be working with the government in the areas of social activity, mitigation of malnutrition, improvement of health, and creating greater livelihood,” said former chief of Tata Group, Ratan Tata.<br /><br />He also said that Andhra Pradesh (AP) would prosperous as he had full faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.<br /><br />“Though it would be arrogant to forecast industrial growth right away, we are well acquainted and experienced with the leadership of the state and support its aspirations to develop a new capital,” Tata added.<br /><br />For the first time, such a huge number of villages are being developed by a single Trust in Andhra Pradesh. “This will set an example in the country as it will be mentored by industry titan Ratan Tata,” said Naidu. </p>
