<p>The City Crime Branch (CCB) police on Wednesday raided a house in Mandi Mohalla and seized 2.4 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.20 lakh. Three persons including a senior citizen were arrested in this regard.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to Commissioner of Police B Dayananda, the police arrested three persons on the charges of possessing and selling the contraband in the house. The arrested are: Irfan Pasha (22) Syed Rahmat (24) and Mustaq Ahmed (60) all residents of Mandi Mohalla. The case has been referred to Mandi police for further investigation.<br /><br />Illicit liquor seized<br /><br />In another case, the CCB policemen seized illicit liquor worth Rs 40,000, that was being transported by a two-wheeler near Vijayanagar third stage, Outer Ring Road junction.<br /><br />The suspect, identified as Shekar, aged 34 years, is a resident of Janata Nagar. He managed to give a slip to the policemen, while the latter succeeded in seizing the motorbike. Upon inspection, it was found that 264 tetra packs of liquor of 180 ML each were stored in a plastic cover. A case has been registered.</p>
