A meat-shop owner and a juvenile were critically injured when two bike-borne assailants shot them from close range, in what police said to be an act of personal enmity in outer Delhi’s Samai pur Badli.

Ravinder, 24, and Vipin, 18, were standing in front of the former’s house when two bike-borne assailants came around 1.30 pm on Sunday and shot both of them from close range, police said.

Both of them were taken to the nearby hospital where they are battling for their life, a senior police officer informed.

According to police, the assailants have been identified by the onlookers, and the act seems to be of personal enmity between Ravinder and the culprits. Ravinder used to run a meat shop and Vipin is a student of class 10. Ravinder allegedly had a heated argument few days back with one of the assailant and the later had warned him of dire consequences.

Ravinder, however, didn’t take the warning seriously and didn’t report the matter to police.
Police are investigating the case by watching CCTV footage of the area.

A manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits and police team has been dispatched in locations where the culprits could have fled after the act.

A case of attempt to murder has been filed in police station Samaipur Badli, police said.
