The family members of Aparna, who died of suspected medical negligence during childbirth, have said that they would take up a legal battle after receiving the postmortem report.
Just hours after Aparna passed away at Motherhood Hospitals, her newborn, who was admitted to Rainbow Hospital in a critical condition, also died.
Aparna’s body was sent to M S Ramiah Hospitals where the postmortem was conducted.
The family is still awaiting the report. Meanwhile, the hospital authorities said that both the mother and child had hypoxia.
Hospital authorities said that her amniotic fluid had entered the blood stream which lead to a series of reactions and also hypoxia.
