Attack on writer: 3 teams formed to nab suspects

 District Superintendent of Police M B Boralingaiah said on Saturday that they had formed three teams to nab the attackers of dalit writer Ucchangiprasad Santhebennur.

He said that the sketches of the attackers were being created based on the details provided by the writer.

CCTV footage was also being looked into, the SP said.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told reporters in Mysuru, “The attack by communal activists on writer Ucchangiprasad is condemnable. The government will not tolerate attacks on progressive writers. Every citizen is entitled to the Right to Expression. So, the government will act sternly against communal forces.”
