<p>Revenue and District In-charge Minister V Srinivas Prasad said the government should conduct mass marriage ceremonies in all the 30 districts of the State to help farmers and poor. He was speaking at ‘Shubharambha’, a mass marriage ceremony organised by the district administration here on Sunday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>“Mass marriages will definitely bring changes in the society. This needs to be made more popular among common people,” Prasad said. <br /><br />Of the 116 couples who tied the knot, five were specially abled. <br />Each couple was given a Mangalasutra, a pair of toe rings, saree and other items. The district administration spent Rs 18,000 on each couple, officials said. <br /><br />A huge rush was seen at the venue as more than 8,000 people, including the relatives of newlyweds, had assembled.</p>
