An MBA student, who allegedly threatened a BJP MP posing himself as an Islamic State (IS) terrorist on Friday, was arrested from a village in UP’s Hardoi district, about 100 kilometres from here, on Friday.
According to police sources, the youth, identified as Sanjay Raidas, a resident of Mallaiyan village in Hardoi district, threatened Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha MP Kaushal Kishore using the cell phone of another person to implicate him.
An FIR was lodged after the MP received the threat. The police tracked the mobile number to trace the location of the youth at a village in Hardoi. A police team conducted a raid in the village and nabbed Sanjay.
