A garment factory worker and a private company employee committed suicide in two separate incidents on Wednesday in Kamakshipalya police limits.

According to the police, Swarna, (29), a garment factory worker and a resident of Mutturayaswamy Extension, ended her life by consuming poison.

The reason for her extreme step is not known. She was married to Shivaram, a cab driver.
Shivaram had gone for work and her daughter had gone to school, when the incident took place. The suicide came to light after her daughter returned home. Swarna was rushed to a nearby hospital by neighbours, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.

In another incident, Kaveri, (23), committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house on Amba Bhavani Road.

She was married to Manjunath, a private factory worker.

The incident came to light after Manjunath returned home from office. There was no response inspite of repeated knocks on the door. He broke open the door to find his wife hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police said there were not death notes in both the cases.
