A woman made away with valuables from a house on the pretext of giving massage to a homemaker in Mico Layout on Friday.
According to the police, the victim, Lakshmi Narasamma lost her gold valuables when she was being given a massage by her domestic help.
On Thursday, a woman claiming to be Lakshmamma, approached Narasamma and asked her to provide her a job as a domestic help. Narasamma asked her to join from Friday.
Lakshmamma, after completing the household chores, offered to give Narasamma a massage. She told Narasamma to remove her gold ornaments.
While she was massaging, Narasamma fell asleep. The domestic help fled from the house with the valuables, the police said.
When Narasamma’s husband woke her up, she realised that the maid had vanished with the valuables.
The police was informed, who visited the spot. Narasamma has not collected any details of the maid, the police added.
A case has been registered in the Electronics City police limits and investigation is on.
