A perfect blend

From necklaces made of fine crystals to elegant pearl earrings, every creation has to maintain a balance between contemporary and classic designs. Designer Ankit Kulhar of label Purab Paschim shares the latest trend of the season with Metrolife.

 Head gears:

Grand sweeping pieces, dramatic designs with a lot of focus on detail are making rounds on the runway. One can easily pull off these bold pieces by keeping it limited to a single head gear to rock their outfit. Crystal coated pearls layered with chains add a power punch of style to the head gears. However, maang tikkas are a conceptual.

Necklaces: In fashion land, the more glamorous a necklace is, the better it is. Shades of green and golden shadow offer the right amount of dazzle to most neck pieces. Long necklaces crafted using enameling and Champleve techniques gives Indian jewellery a timely twist.

Earrings: Earrings that exude the grandeur and splendour of mughal courts are in. Invoking complete artistic license with geometric shapes, pieces crafted with pearls and Swarovski crystals in golden shadow hue will be a perfect shot.

Hand harness: These stylish pieces lend a touch of glam to the traditional look. Harnesses made of pearls are fit for fashion royalty.
