Flipkart, Mahindra tie up for online bookings of KUV100

Flipkart, leading eCommerce giant in the country, on Saturday announced an exclusive tie up with Mahindra & Mahindra for online bookings of the KUV100.


The bookings for the compact SUV, which Mahindra unveiled at Chakan, in Pune on Thursday, will open from midnight January 18, the two companies said.

Flipkart Vice President - Business Anil Goteti said for the first time in the automobile category, the exclusive tie up will allow Mahindra access Flipkart's extensive reach and network to connect with their customers and provide them the ease to book Mahindra KUV100 online.

Flipkart launched automobiles as a category last month. The two entities have come together to deliver superior customer experience with assured in-a-month delivery, the companies said in a joint release.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Senior Vice President, Sales & Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “Being two young brands, both KUV100 and Flipkart complement each other. This tie up with Flipkart further reinforces our customer centric initiatives.”

Digital game plan

During the launch of the KUV100, Mahindra and Mahindra Executive Director Pawan Goenka had intended companies game plan to avail digital medium  for marketing.

“We are targetting this for the first-time car buyers and youth. We hope that eCommerce platforms will help us expand our market reach,” said Goenka.

The KUV100, which also marked the company's debut in the petrol segment, is priced starting from Rs 4.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
