The woman who threw ink at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal indicated at a scam that involves the BJP-led government at the Centre, the AAP government said on Monday.

Meanwhile, the AAP accused Delhi Police for leaving gaps in Kejriwal’s security at the government-organised function where a young woman, claiming to be in-charge of Aam Aadmi Sena’s  (AAS) Punjab unit, attacked Kejriwal with ink. AAS is a rebel faction of the AAP, which plans to debut in the coming Punjab Assembly elections.

“Her allegations have nothing to do with the Delhi government’s odd-even scheme,” Delhi’s Transport Minister Gopal Rai said on Monday.

He added that her allegation pertains to the Central government approved CNG cylinder testing stations. “She alleged that a CNG cylinder fitted in a car was certified okay even though the applicant submitted his motorcycle registration certificate in lieu of the car’s certificate. Mundka-based Star Cylinder Testing Company issued the certificate,” Rai said.

Meanwhile, a Delhi court has sent the woman, accused of throwing ink at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to one-day police custody, PTI reports.
