<p>A man murdered his stepsister after raping her in the city on Wednesday night, the police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The 32-year-old victim, a resident of Auto Complex in Vinobnagar, was married with two children. The suspect Chandrashekar alias Swamy, 34, has been arrested.<br /><br />According to the police, Rukkappa Bhovi, father of the duo, had two wives. <br /><br />The victim was the daughter of his first wife Padmamma and Chandrashekhar the son of Bhovi’s second wife Puttamma.<br /><br />Extramarital affair<br />The police said the accused, Chandrashekar, was trying to develop an extramarital affair with the victim and used to quarrel with her whenever she spoke to other men. <br /><br />One such incident took place on January 20 night and Chandrashekar took his stepsister out of the house and raped her before strangling her to death.<br /><br />The victim’s body was found near Shubha Mangala convention hall at Vinobnagar on January 21 morning. <br /><br />Passersby who noticed the body informed the victim’s husband. <br /><br />A team of police officers visited the spot and have registered a case.<br /> <br /></p>
