CM's media advisor should be arrested: Joshi

The State BJP on Saturday once again trained its guns on Dinesh Amin Mattu, media advisor to the chief minister, stating that he should have been arrested for “indirectly supporting terrorists”.

Speaking to reporters after the launch of the party manifesto for the zilla and taluk panchayat polls, BJP State president Pralhad Joshi said Mattu was giving “communal colour” to terrorism. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is yet to respond to the BJP’s demand that he should clarify the State government’s stand on the issue.

Mattu had reportedly said it had become a routine of late to arrest “some persons” ahead of Republic Day and Independence Day. The BJP has repeatedly been seeking to know whether the chief minister endorses Mattu’s stand, Joshi said.
