IEEMA seeks rectification of inverted duty structure

 Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) has told the government to rectify the inverted duty structure for electrical goods, said Aaditya Dhoot, Organising Committee Chairman, Elecrama.

“We see in most of the cases, the duty on raw materials is higher than the duty on the finished products,”  said Dhoot.

“This inverted duty structure has been rectified for some sectors. We have requested the government on that,” he added.

He also said that they have requested the government for providing a level playing field.
“We have always maintained that we do not want any extra benefits, but we expect a level playing field,” he said.
