BSF finds abandoned Pak boat in Kutch creek

The Border Security Force on Monday recovered a suspected Pakistani fishing boat in the creek area of the Arabian sea off Koteshwar in Kutch district near Indo-Pak border in Gujarat.

According to official sources, this is the third recovery of an abandoned Pakistani boat in less than three months. They said an abandoned boat was noticed during patrolling. “No suspicious item has been recovered from it, except normal food supplies and two mobile phones, one with a sim card and another without a sim,” they added.

The official further stated that after it was found that the boat was of Pakistani origin, they began a look-out operation for any possible intruder or illegal fishermen as a precautionary measure. “It appears that the Pakistanis had ran away to their country through the marshy land,” he said.
