MLC M R Hulinaykar, ZP president Jayamma Danappa, CMC president M P Mahesh, DC C Somashekhar and District Health Officer Dr Sridhar Murthy welcomed the train.
Students from various educational institutions had queued up since morning to have a look at the train. Free entry is provided for general public.
This initiative under the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation has been inaugurated for the second time.
After visiting many places in the country, the train will tour as many as eleven stations in the State till Feb 19.
