'Long-pending works of community halls will be completed soon'

 District In-charge Minister A Manju on Sunday, assured that steps would be taken to complete works of the community halls in the district that were pending for many years now.

Speaking after inaugurating Ambedkar Community Hall, constructed by City Municipal Council, the Minister said that works of six community halls in the city had remained pending for the past 28 years. The works will be completed in a phased manner as the government has released funds for the same. It is one of the achievements of the State government, he added.

The State Congress supports dalits and backward communities and, has taken steps to protect social justice. Various programmes have been chalked out for the educational, social and financial empowerment of these communities.

The victory of the Congress party across the State in the recently concluded Zilla and Taluk Panchayat polls mirrors the achievements of the government, he added.
