The 40-year-old designer was found dead at his home last Thursday, as final preparations were being made for his spring collection to be unveiled in Paris.

The post-mortem examination revealed that McQueen had died due to asphyxiation and hanging, according to the Westminster Coroner's Court, reported BBC.
The designer took his life on the eve of the funeral of his mother, Joyce and left a note on the scene.

Detective Inspector Paul Armstrong told the inquest there were no suspicious circumstances and presented the note found at the scene to the coroner Paul Knapman, who has adjourned the inquest till April 28.

The designer, famed for his unconventional designs and shock tactics, had A-listers like Madonna and Lady Gaga among his clientele.
The designer known as the "hooligan of fashion", was at the pinnacle of his career when he took his life.

He had earlier hinted at suicide through messages posted on the micro blogging website Twitter after the death of his mother two weeks ago.

Some of the biggest names in the entertainment had hailed him as a "creative genius" after his sudden death with 'Sex And the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker and 'Queen of Pop' Madonna leading the tributes.
