The farmers’ wing of BJP on Tuesday decided to tour the State to get a factual position on the drought situation. BJP Raitha Morcha president Araga Jnanendra, who chaired the executive meeting, said six teams had been formed to visit the drought-hit areas.
Headed by senior leaders, the teams will tour the State for three days from April 12.
A state-wide protest is also being planned in April to condemn the government’s failure to provide relief to the drought-affected farmers, he said.
